Elon Musk is working on 'TruthGPT', a truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe.

Elon Musk, the well-known tech entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has been a vocal critic of artificial intelligence in the past, citing concerns over the potential dangers it could pose to human civilization. However, in a recent interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News, Musk revealed his plan to develop his own AI chatbot, which he calls "TruthGPT".

Musk expressed his distrust in OpenAI, the company behind the popular AI chatbot ChatGPT, stating that they are training AI to lie and become a for-profit organization closely allied with Microsoft. He also criticized Larry Page, co-founder of Google, for not taking AI safety seriously, and believes that TruthGPT could be the best way to achieve safety in AI without risking human annihilation.

Rob Lyons, from the Academy of Ideas, discusses the potential dangers of AI and the need for safety measures. He notes that people have complained about ChatGPT just making things up, and that it doesn't care about the truth. This highlights a potential issue with AI chatbots, and the need for more transparency and accountability in their development.

It will be interesting to see how TruthGPT will compare to other AI chatbots, and whether it will live up to Musk's expectations of being a safer and more truthful alternative. The development of new AI technologies is always exciting, but it is important that safety concerns are taken seriously to ensure that they benefit humanity rather than harm it.
